FIFA World Cup 2018 Saudi Arabia vs Uruguay

As predicted, Luis Suarez scored the only goal in yesterday’s match to book Uruguay’s passage to the knockout stages and defeated Saudi Arabia with a clear 0-1.
Saudi Arabia’s goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais was the most disappointed person out in the field because even after his several attempts, they could not enter the knockout stage and were defeated. The goal was scored at the Rostov Arena, sweeping in from a close range on his 100th international appearance. It is much disappointing for Green Falcons, who were knocked out despite a vast improvement from their 5-0 defeat by Russia in the tournament’s opening game and again lost the match with Uruguay which surely is sad for Saudi Arabia.  Uruguay have collected maximum points from their two Group A games. The Saudi coach Juan Antonio Pizzi talked of a “feeling of shame” after their 5-0 defeat to Russia, with his players accused of freezing on the big occasion. But history repeated itself so early with this big loss of losing the battle against Uruguay.

Now talking about the man of the match, it is obvious that the Uruguay captain Diego Godin who snuffed out Saudi Arabia’s attacking threat to help his team to a second clean sheet of the tournament should definitely be called as the man of the match.
