FIFA World Cup 2018 Uruguay vs Russia
Uruguay will go on to face Portugal in the last 16, while hosts Russia play Spain after the match between Uruguay and Russia ends with a 3-0 on Monday 25th June 2018 clearly indicating the Uruguay’s intensive players whose victory means they top the Group A.
The goals were scored by Suarez in the first 10 minutes itself, second by Stanislav Cheryshev in 23 minutes and Cavani at the end of the match in 90 minutes! There was a party atmosphere around the scorching Samara Arena before kick-off, with fans who have travelled from all over the country keen to share in the good feeling surrounding their national team who won with an amazing score.
One could say that this was the first time Russia had faced quality opposition at this tournament, and for many the manner of this defeat will mark them out as vulnerable in the next round for sure. Right from the outset, and even at the end of the game when there was very little hope of a comeback emerging, there was much of the same remarkable vocal support from the stands. But on the pitch there was a very little of the dynamism we saw from Russia’s players in their opening two victories which can be considered as a reason.
